How long have you been working in the Aviation industry?
In 2025, I’ll be celebrating a decade in the aviation industry. It’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed so quickly. I spent 9 years flying European routes, and for the past year, I’ve been flying internationally. It’s been an incredible journey filled with experiences and learning along the way.
What made you choose to pursue a career in the Aviation industry?
From a very young age, I knew I wanted to become a flight attendant. Every time I blew out my birthday candles, I wished to be one, and whenever I saw a plane soaring through the sky, I made a silent wish that one day I would be on board. It’s been my dream for as long as I can remember, and it feels amazing to live it out every single day.
What path have you taken to embark on an Aviation career?
My path to becoming a flight attendant was paved with passion and determination. Before entering the aviation industry, I already had experience in the hospitality industry, which gave me a strong foundation in customer service and working with people. I built on this experience by doing internships abroad, where I further developed my skills and learned about different cultures. I started flying European routes, and over the years, I gained experience, met incredible people, and explored different cultures. Recently, I transitioned to international flights, which has opened up a new world of possibilities and experiences.
Give us an overview of what you do on an average day in your role?
On a typical day, my role as a flight attendant involves ensuring passengers’ safety and comfort throughout the flight. I assist with boarding, help passengers with their needs, and, of course, manage emergency situations if they arise. The job is dynamic, and each day brings something new, whether it’s a fun interaction with passengers or unexpected challenges that require quick thinking and teamwork.
Can you tell us up to 5 of your staples/go-to items to carry in your hand luggage?
1. My favorite perfume – a little spritz of comfort during long flights.
2. Lip gloss – because hydration and a little sparkle are always a must.
3. Facial mist – it helps to keep me refreshed during the flight.
4. First-aid kit – you never know when you might need something on the route.
5. A collection of personalised cards I write for passengers when I feel a special connection with them.
What do you most love about your job?
The thing I love most about my job is the constant change and the incredible people I get to meet. It’s never boring, and each flight brings new experiences. There’s something magical about the feeling of being in the air, helping passengers, and creating memorable moments. Plus, I get to travel the world, which is an amazing perk!
What are your goals for the future?
My immediate goal is to become a purser, and eventually, I aspire to reach the position of senior purser. I’m excited about the challenges and growth that come with these roles, and I look forward to continuing to evolve in this industry.
What advice would you give to aspiring Cabin Crew?
To anyone aspiring to be a flight attendant, my advice is simple: if you can dream it, you can achieve it. Visualise yourself in the role, feel it, live it in your mind every day, and believe that everything is possible. I’m living proof that dreams come true, and it all starts with determination and passion. So go for it, chase your dream, and don’t ever give up!
