Overview
- Urbe Aero is the leading flight academy in Italy, with 100+ Integrated ATPL cadets enrolled each year, flying more than 18.000 hours per year with a fleet of 20 aircraft and 3 FNPT II simulators
- Urbe Aero partners with major international airlines (Wizz Air, ITA Airways, EasyJet, Ryanair, Air Baltic, Volotea, Air Dolomiti) and is the first and only academy in Italy approved for the Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) with an on-going MPL program with ITA Airways
- The academy is located at the Aeroporto Roma Urbe, 10 minutes from the Roma city center, an ideal location for flight training and a living opportunity for cadets and instructors
- Additionally, weather in Roma is extremely stable allowing continuous flight operations: the Aeroporto Roma Urbe offers more than 3.400 hours of VFR conditions each year, and even considering more restrictive parameters, it offers almost 2.800 hours of ideal weather conditions
- The Aeroporto Roma Urbe is a General Aviation only airport, with dedicated training airspace and direct access to class G airspace, with capacity of more than 50,000 training flight hours without saturating the airspace
- Urbe Aero maintains its aircraft fleet under EASA Part 145 regulations, ensuring the highest level of airworthiness
- The Urbe Aero aircraft and simulator fleet is entirely comprised of modern and technically advanced Diamond Aircraft (composite airframe, diesel engine, and glass-cockpit avionics), including DA20-C1, DA40-NG, DA42-NG, B73M, and A32N, with 8 new aircraft and 3 new simulators delivered in 2023. The average age of our aircraft fleet is only 7 years.
