This course is designed for on-the-job trainers (i.e., line trainers) in the aviation industry to provide foundational knowledge of training in the aviation industry.
On-the-job trainers, or ‘Line Trainers’, support new starters and existing colleagues in up-skilling. Typically, an on-the-job trainer is an experienced member of staff who has been selected to assist with practical training.

To complete the Aviation On-the-Job Trainer Certificate, candidates must complete a short online theory assessment, which is graded immediately.

It is ideal for those recognised by their company as line trainers, on-the-job trainers, or anyone pursuing training-related roles in the aviation industry.
Pre-requisites
The IATA AHM states that an on-the-job trainer should have at least 12 months of experience in an operational role. No experience in training or teaching is required.

Validity
The certificate is valid for 3 years, although your employer may require more frequent refresher training.
