Become qualified to assess competence in the workplace and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in the classroom or training environment.
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA), formerly known as the A1 certificate is a recognised qualification intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace, (such as workshops, classrooms or other education and training settings).
Duration
This is a self-paced course. Typically, learners complete it within 3-6 months, but you can complete it much quicker or take up to 12 months.

Assessments
This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence that covers all assessment criteria for the units selected. Assessment methods include:

Pre-requisites
Learners must be aged 19+ years to be enrolled on this course. If registering for this course as an individual, you must be working or have access to a training or teaching environment and workplace, as you must carry out assessments in a live environment as part of the qualification.
Certificates
Upon successful completion, learners will receive an externally accredited certificate from Focus Awards, a nationally recognised and Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation.
