            Air and Ground Steward Job Description

            On completion of the first flying tour, the stewards can be a part of a specialist field catering squadron or work with the industry partners in military messes. The air and ground stewards in RAF take care of the comfort and safety of passengers on board. They serve the meals and refreshments to the passengers and provide the necessary assistance to them when and if required. They have to check the emergency equipment and address the queries and concerns of passengers. The stewards who gain voyager experience can take a transfer to 32 The Royal Squadron and accompany the Royals, prime minister, members of the British cabinet, and Forces. 

            Air and Ground Steward Job Responsibilities

            Completely trained raf steward job responsibilities include keeping the passengers comfortable and safe during the flights. The stewards provide first aid and emergency assistance to the passengers along with taking care of their meals. They ensure that the emergency situations with passengers and crew members are handled in a proactive manner. After the first flying tour, unless they get transferred to 32 Squadron, the stewards work on the ground and are responsible for supporting unit food services to military officers that are deployed for operations and doing exercises. After serving on the ground, the cabin crew can return to the flight duties.

            One of the entry requirements is that candidates must know how to swim, so if you don’t know how to swim, this skill is needed for the job application.
