JOB CLASSIFICATION: Full-time

LOCATION: Harlingen, Texas 

PAY RATE: Exempt 

REPORTS TO: Assistant Construction Manager    

JOB DESCRIPTION

Aerial Supervisor shall oversee one or more underground telecommunication construction crews. This position includes supervision, development, leadership, and ensuring safety to employees assigned to the job site.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·         Previous telecommunications construction lead or supervisory role is preferred

·         Thorough knowledge of telecommunications construction including aerial equipment, utility lines & poles, and bucket trucks

·         Must be able to read, understand, and comprehend engineering/blueprint design plans 

·         Skilled in using computers and Penguin (Software) 

·         Plans, organizes, and completes projects in the shortest, most efficient manner

·         Effectively tracks the progress of various quality assurance fiber projects

·         Proficient written and oral communications skills

·         Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor and provide general assistance to other employees as directed

·         Provide supervision, development, leadership, and safety guidelines to employees

·         Be able to keep materials & equipment organized, cleaned, and in proper running order

·         Demonstrates a strong commitment and dedication to delivering excellent customer service through executing by BTS mission and values

·         Maintain a strong line of open communication with direct Supervisor & management team to address and resolve issues in a timely manner to drive productivity

·         Supports a brand Company image by displaying a professional attitude and appearance at all times

·         Analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities

·         Assume responsibility for productive of jobs, efficient use of materials, equipment, and contractual performance of the project

·         Ensure all personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, and work polices

EDUCATION & LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a safe driving record.
  

LANGUAGE/MATHEMATICAL SKILLS & REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to use written and verbal communications in English language.

REASONING ABILITY & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·         Ability to work aloft.

·         Must have manual dexterity and the ability to utilize various hand tools and test equipment.

·         Must be able to drive a truck or van including a truck/van with an aerial lift

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

·         Must be able to type on a computer, and utilize a smart phone to read and update prints.

·         Must be able to kneel, crawl, push, pull, bend, stoop, lift and dig.

·         Must meet and maintain Company’s safe weight policy.
