AGM - Cargo Strategy & Expansion

Purpose / Objective:

We are seeking a highly experienced person of Cargo Strategy & Expansion with 10-15 years of experience in the Airport, Ports, Logistics, and Cargo industry. The ideal candidate will lead, manage, and enhance cargo business and operations for all the airports, ensuring the delivery and exceeding of volume, revenue, and EBITDA expectations in line with annual budgets, 5-year rolling plan, and long-term business plan of the airport and Adani Airports Holding Limited (AAHL).

Business Operations: 

that include the following business segments which may grow in future based on business needs: 1. International – Import and Export 2. International – Pharma Exports Centre 3. International – Courier/ Express 4. Domestic.

OEI (Operations Excellence Index) that include the following components but not limited to: 1. Airline SLA compliance 2. OMDA SLA Compliance 3. Customer Satisfaction Level 4. Damages and accidents (Safety) 5. Untraceability 6. Productivity, etc

Business Commercial Performance, over-all and business segment wise (as mentioned above):

Actual Vs Budget for the following: 1. Volume (Tons) 2. Yield (Revenue per Ton) 3. Revenue 4. EBITDA 5. Market Share 6. Contribution from special products, focus segments and value-added services.

Concessionaire management:

Active and successful concessionaire management from the following perspectives: - SLA compliance - OMDA Compliance - External and internal audits - Revenue share compliances - License Fee compliances - IR and Labor Management - Regulatory Management - Tariff Management - Facility management - Customer Relationship and communication management - Cost management - Business Contingency Plans - Emergency Response Plans Actual Vs Target of the following: - Revenue Share - SLA/ OEI - Non compliances - Business disruption incidents

Business Development and Tariff Management:

Develop and manage routes, airlines, special products and services, in line with annual budget, STRAP and business plan. Examples: Transshipment, freighters/ charters, door to door, pharma logistics, etc. Develop tariff management strategy, for the airport and implement/ manage, etc. Actual Vs Budget of the following: 1. Yield (Revenue/ Ton) 2. Revenue a. New Routes/ sectors b. New Airlines c. Special Products/ services 3. EBITDA 4. Roadmap for product development.

Infrastructure Development in line with Business Plans and long term needs of the cargo business:

Lead and manage the following: - Long term business plan - Infrastructure needs - Master Planning - Development of cargo infrastructure in line with cargo master plan. Actual Vs target of the following: 1. Capacity 2. Capex (cost) 3. Development lead time 4. Roll out date.

Regulatory Management:

Relationship and compliance management of all concerned regulatory agencies of the cargo business such as, but not limited to, Customs, BCAS, MoCA, AAI, Fire Services, Municipality, Drug Controller, DGCA, etc. It is expected that the role holder keeps track of and when required lobby for appropriate policy changes to ensure the cargo business always is in compliance with the applicable regulatory policies, of local and central. Actual Vs Target (zero)of the following: 1. Audit noncompliance 2. Process noncompliance 3. Facility noncompliance

Information Technology:

Strategize, develop, implement and manage IT systems needed for the cargo business that will help the cargo business to meet and exceed the commercial and operations expectations, both short and long term. The IT systems to include the following: - Cargo/ Warehouse Management System - Equipment Management System - Cargo Community System (CCS) - Trade Community System (TCS) Actual Vs Target of the following: - Revenue (CCS & TCS) - System Availability (shared with IT) - 100% paperless - Compliance of IATA E Freight Norms - Compliance of Airlines/ Trade EDI Norms.

Team Management:

Recruit, develop and manage the cargo business team, that is required to successfully deliver and exceed the above business expectations. 

MBA with General Management. 

10-15 years of experience in the Airport, Ports, Logistics, and Cargo industry with a special focus on leadership role, Supply Chain Management, and management of large airport cargo business/operations, sea port business, 3PL, Logistics, etc.
