Aircraft and Powerplant Mechanic IV

As an A&P Mechanic IV, you will be responsible for repairs, replacement, and maintenance of key aircraft components. You'll use a variety of provided tools and equipment to perform diagnosis on parts to be replaced, and ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards of work. As a Mech IV, appreciable input will be expected regarding site functions and expectations. Safety and organization are a part of every step!

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and at typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

• Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments
• Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations
• Ability to speak, read and write in English
• Advanced experience in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines
• Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
• Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines
• Proficient knowledge of flightline operational schedules.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with Edwards AFB
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $38.39 - $52.79. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
