Aircraft Avionics Technicians perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, equipment removal, installation, configuration, software updates, maintenance, and repair of aircraft instruments and avionics components using standard electronic test equipment and specialized tools to meet AAFRs, STCs and industry standards.  Manufacture and or install sheet metal provisions to support avionics, electrical harnesses, and cabling.

  • Capable of working independently and effectively as part of a team.
  • Coordinate with team leads and other members to ensure smooth workflow and communication across departments.
  • Able to work efficiently to stay on schedule.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all team members, vendors, and clients.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling required.
  • Regular work in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, heights over six feet, noisy environments, and in-flight settings.
  • Frequent handling of products, materials, and chemicals used in aircraft maintenance.
  • Must hold a valid state driver’s license and meet company insurance criteria.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing to work scheduled shifts and accept unscheduled overtime as needed.
  • Consistently maintain a positive, friendly, and professional company image.

Qualifications: 
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership in avionics testing, repair, and troubleshooting, following industry standards to ensure quality and installation efficiency.
  • Preferred experience with avionics systems from Garmin, Bendix King, Aspen, Honeywell, and Collins.
  • Proficient in using avionics and electrical testing equipment, hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering tools.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • A&P License is a plus; FCC License or Repairman Certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in aircraft avionics, or completion of an accredited avionics program with at least 2 years of hands-on technical experience.
