What you will do:
As an Aircraft Captain for Stryker, you will be part of a high functioning team of dedicated aviation professionals tasked with providing world-class corporate travel to international destinations all around the world. Perform duties to provide Stryker Corporation with a world class Corporate Aviation Service, maintaining the highest degree of safety, security, flexibility, reliability, and value.
Checking weather, all applicable NOTAMs where available, and determining fuel, oil and oxygen requirements;
Determining the aircraft weight and balance;
Ensuring that all flight planning requirements have been met, including contingencies if the flight cannot be completed as planned;
Ensuring that the aircraft is airworthy, duly registered and that the documentation specified in section 3.1.2 are on board the aircraft.
Ensuring that aircraft crew members have valid licenses, medical certificates and passports and visas if and when required;
Ensuring that a flight will not be commenced, or will not be continued beyond the nearest suitable airport if a flight crew member is incapacitated;
Completing an aircraft pre-flight inspection before each departure;
Briefing the passengers in accordance with the requirements specified in section 4.18;
Operating the aircraft in accordance with operator procedures and aircraft limitations;
Ensuring compliance with customs, immigration and cabotage laws;
Notifying authorities of any accident, suspected communicable disease, acts of unlawful interference, or landing at an airport other than a State’s international airport caused by circumstances beyond the control of the PIC;
Completing the journey log book or general declaration, when required;
Completing all post flight duties, including notification to the company of any deviation from the planned itinerary or overnight location;
Recording flight times and aircraft defects; and
Participating actively in Stryker’s Safety Management System, e.g. regular filing of risk assessments and safety reports.
What you need:
Required:
Airline Transport Pilot License
First Class Medical Certificate
Valid aeronautical radiotelephone license
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in the English language
Able to execute command and decision making
Ability to travel to international destinations worldwide with no restrictions
International experience as crewmember outside of North / Central America
4000 hours Total Flight Time, 2000 hours Turbojet Flight Time
Live in or be able to relocate to within one hour drive of Kalamazoo, MI
Preferred:
FAA Type Rating in Falcon 2000 Easy or Global Express
5000 flight hours, 2500 hours Turbojet Flight Time
Motivated, passionate team player
