Job Description: We are seeking a Corrosion Inhibiting Compound Specialist to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying corrosion inhibiting compounds to aircraft surfaces, ensuring the longevity and safety of our fleet. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply corrosion inhibiting compounds to various aircraft surfaces.
  • Inspect and prepare surfaces for treatment.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all procedures are followed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations

Career Development:

  • This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overall division operations.
  • After 12 months in this role, we will assist with internal mobility to another department, supporting your career growth within the company.

  • Reports unsafe working conditions and behavior
  • Takes reasonable prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices
  • Adheres to Flightstar’s SMS safety culture
  • Safety glasses required; prescription safety glasses required if applicable

Position Profile:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance work techniques is preferred
  • Ability to perform daily transactions within Flightstar’s ERP system, vending (POU), and research customer’s maintenance manuals
  • Ability to lift and carry hand tools, parts, and work materials; ascend and descend ladders and platforms; and frequently work in various positions such as stooping, kneeling, or squatting.
