Aircraft Cleaners- Gatwick Airport South Terminal

Aviation Recruitment Experts Optime are seeking an experienced Aircraft Cleaners to join a respected team at South Terminal, Gatwick Airport for the upcoming summer season. This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities.

What’s on offer:

• Rate of pay: £11.44 to £13.00 per hour
• Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
• Hours per week: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Pay (every Friday)
• Temp to Perm (based on performance)

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean aircraft interiors including seats, windows, and tray tables to ensure the cabin is ready for passengers
• Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained throughout the cabin and aircraft compartments
• Remove any rubbish or unwanted items from the aircraft
• Replenish necessary supplies (e.g., blankets, pillows, magazines) for each flight
• Ensure that the aircraft is cleaned to a high standard in accordance with airline protocols
• Work efficiently and safely to meet tight turnaround times between flights
• Be flexible in responding to additional cleaning needs when required

Shifts:
The airport is operational 7 days per week, and candidates will work on a 4 on 4 off rolling rota, which could be subject to change.

Example shift hours:

4 on 4 off rolling (Days):

• Earliest start time: 06:00am
• Latest finish time: 20:00pm
• Average of 8 to 12-hour shifts per day.

4 on 4 off rolling (Nights):

• Earliest start time: 20:00pm
• Latest finish time: 06:00am
• Average of 8 to 10-hour shifts per day.

Requirements:

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently, often under time pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to perform physical tasks (e.g., lifting, bending, and standing for long periods)
• Good communication skills and a team player attitude
• Right to Work in the UK
• Five-year fully checkable reference history
• Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
