Aircraft Fitter - Permanent Positions

Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment is partnering with a renowned company in the aviation industry to recruit an Aircraft Fitter based at RAF Brize Norton

Role Overview

The unlicensed Aircraft Engineer will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance tasks in strict compliance with Technical Documentation and Company Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute aircraft maintenance tasks under the guidance of the Hangar Foreman, SLE, or LE.

• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure safe and efficient working practices.

• Operate and move heavy equipment, tooling, and spares using equipment like forklifts (training provided).

• Support aircraft cleaning activities and maintain a clean working environment.

• Service aircraft toilets during maintenance.

• Manage fuel and oil spillages responsibly.

• Assist with aircraft manoeuvring.

• Ensure proper waste separation and recycling.

• Charge scissor lifts at the end of shifts and perform battery servicing as needed.

• Maintain cleanliness and fluid levels of AAGDS vehicles.

• Report safety concerns promptly.

• Keep equipment in good, clean, and safe condition, reporting faults immediately.

• Fulfill additional responsibilities as requested by the Hangar Foreman, SLE, LE, or Hangar Management Team.

• Suggest safety and efficiency improvements to the SLE.

Desirable Skills

• Previous aircraft experience or experience in a similar trade/industry.

• Experience working at an operational aerodrome.

• Shift pattern: 7am to 7pm on a 5 on-5 off, 4 on-5 off, 5 on-4 off rotation.

• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (with an extra day added each year after 2 years of service, up to a maximum of 25 days).
