Aircraft Fueler

Overview:  

As an Aircraft Fueler for Global Crossing Airlines (“GlobalX”), your primary duty will be the safe and efficient fueling of GlobalX A320 family aircraft at MIA. You may also fuel the aircraft for other airlines at MIA.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Fueling large transport category aircraft – primarily GlobalX A320 aircraft but may also include other aircraft types such as B737, B767, A330 

• Utilizing math skills to include calculations such as converting fuel loads from pounds or Kilos to Gallons 

• Communications with and between airline flight crews, maintenance reps. and ground handling crew. 

• Adhering to strict GlobalX policies, procedures and safety protocols when fueling Aircraft. 

• This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures 

• The work is shift work, requires weekends nights, holiday, and shift of 8 hours or more.  

• Team Members may be asked and at times will be required to work overtime (with additional pay) to meet GlobalX operational needs. 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Ability to perform basic math calculations 

• Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions 

• Must pass background check and obtain US Customs seal 

• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays 

• Ability to learn quickly 

• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions in English and request clarification when needed 

• Strong interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work as part of a team 

• Ability to build relationships 

• Acutely aware of safety related procedures 

• Position requires wearing safety related equipment, i.e. goggles, gloves, boots, respirator, hearing protection, and back support as necessitated by a specific task 

• Position requires lifting, pulling, pushing, rotating, twisting, climbing of high tanks, squatting, kneeling, overhead arm movement 

• Must be able to occasionally handle weights up to and including 70 lbs

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear 

• The individual must also be able to open and close large value on 16" product delivery pipelines quickly

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
