Position: Aircraft Maintenance Manager/Senior Aircraft Technician (Mechanical)

The group was established in South Africa in 1999, with its origins in military aircraft weapons and avionics integration and flight testing. The company is well established in the local and international industry, with a strong capability in several specialist areas, including:
- Systems Design, Development, and Integration.
- System Testing on a range of platforms / products.

Incomar is looking for a motivated individual to fulfil the position of an Aircraft Maintenance Manager.
Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Aviation Maintenance Trade Certificate.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer SACAA Licence.
- Approved Person Licence with airframe and engine types would be advantageous.
- FAA A&P and IA would be advantageous.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as a senior aircraft mechanic or similar position.
- At least ten years of experience of aircraft maintenance.
- Experience on turboprop and reciprocating engines.
- Good managerial, leadership, and project management skills.
- AMO management skills.
- Good planning and technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally.
- Sound understanding of technical publications and documentation.
- Understanding of Civil Aviation Regulations and Technical Standards.
- The candidate should hold a valid passport.
- Valid driver’s licence, Code B.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
The candidate will be required to perform various duties including, but not limited to:
- Ensure that all aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition.
- Ensure that all inspections, repairs and component changes are accomplished in accordance with the manufacturer’s approved procedures.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters and the regulations.
- Ensure that all maintenance technicians are trained and current on the types of aircraft for which approved.
- Ensure that all maintenance technicians are certified and supervised according to the requirements specified in the regulations.
- Provide the Head of Aircraft Maintenance/Accountable Manager with the current airworthiness status of the aircraft and the forecast down times to facilitate maintenance scheduling and insure timely deferral or correction of aircraft discrepancies.
- Provide the Head of Aircraft Maintenance/Accountable Manager with a monthly aircraft cost budget.
- Represent Aircraft Maintenance at the weekly budget planning meeting.
- Maintain a close liaison with manufacturer’s representatives, parts supply houses, repair facilities and SACAA.
- Provide the maintenance personnel with the necessary overhaul manuals, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, the MOP and AMP and any other required technical data, if and when applicable.
- Maintain all necessary work records and logbooks, including certification in the aircraft permanent maintenance records that the aircraft is approved for return to service.
- Maintain the mass and balance records for all aircraft.
- Complete all required reports and submit them to SACAA.
- Participate in all safety forums.
- Maintain a professional relationship with SACAA.
- Advise Head of Aircraft Maintenance/Accountable Manager on all SMS deficiencies.
- Heavy and minor maintenance.
