Summary:

The Aircraft Maintenance Planner is responsible to the Planning Manager for controlling customer work packages and work flow.


Duties:

· Liaison with customers to confirm all customer requirements are in accordance with approved maintenance program.

· Evaluate work requirements and available manpower.

· Assemble work packages including applicable Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB), and Engineering Orders (EO).

· Ensure the current technical data is uploaded to the AAS computer system and maintain a master document listing current revision status for person to reference that are using that data.

· Identify required tools and equipment and determine availability.

· Review all Cards, EO, AD, and SB before releasing the initial package to the floor. Verify aircraft affectivity, current revision, new and/or changed paperwork, etc..

· Prepare reports, conduct pre and post dock meetings and other status meetings as required by the customer.

· Monitor work force and material consumption and expense as needed for each customer.

· Organize and set up work packages according to schedule.

· Ensure Time and Material billed items are within estimated hours daily.

· Review and update tallied items daily for completion, overruns, and parts usage daily and close items as required.

· Assist Lead Technicians by requesting parts, materials, and services as needed.

· Close out work packages in a timely manner.

· Other duties that may be assigned.

Aircraft Maintenance Planners are responsible to follow the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Code of Regulations (14CFR) and AAS Repair Station and Quality Manuals.



Requirements:

· 18+ years of age

· High school diploma or GED

· Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English at full professional proficiency

· Minimum 2 years of aviation maintenance experience

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

· Attention to detail – the ability to create and review complex schedules with accuracy

· Strong communication skills

· Effective time management

· Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance Systems preferred

· Familiarity with ERP software preferred

· A&P Certification preferred
