JOB DESCRIPTION:               Aircraft Maintenance Records Analyst

FLSA STAUS:                          Non-exempt

REPORT TO:                           Manager of Maintenance

 

The Aircraft Maintenance Records Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and safekeeping of electronic data and other records by coordinating storage, retrieval, usage, and records retention.

Works with the Supervisor of Records and Planning to co-ordinate organizational records practices as required by Title 14 CFR, Part 135 requirements and the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) for aircraft record keeping processes. Recommends any technical improvements in such practices and procedures with records, both in paper format and electronic format.

 

This is an office position (non-remote). The incumbent will be required to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance to Addison, TX. Various shifts are available. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

 

Key Duties

  • Maintain aircraft, engine, propeller, and appliance records in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 135 and GMM requirements.
  • Assess records for historical, administrative, or resale value of aircraft, and ensure the quality of reproductions.
  • Conduct audits when assigned, of those records.
  • Coordinate records retention and disposal, and compliance in accordance with policy and procedure detailed in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
  • Assist with open records requests, and coordinate with the Supervisor of Records and Planning, and/or the DOM to gather records whenever requested.
  • Provide assistance to mechanics/employees on records corrections.
  • Coordinate activities with external auditors and provide requested information.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and scheduling future needs of the Company’s electronic records management systems and repositories.
  • Support implementation of process improvements.
  • Establish and maintains cross-functional working relationships within the line of business and with key business partners throughout business with internal and external maintenance personnel. 
  • Serves as a point of contact and coordination for other business units requiring records.
  • Performs activities, including departmental director/manager query follow up, and collaboration with department leaders.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Records and Maintenance Planning.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior aircraft records analyst experience in airline industry.
  • 1 year of experience specifically with aircraft records.
     
     

Preferred

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.

 

Physical requirements:

  • General office duties.

Miscellaneous Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Computer, office equipment, phone skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English effectively. 
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays. 
  • Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by company and/or airline regulations.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
  • Available for occasional overnight travel
