Maintenance Shop Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Piston Shop Manager to oversee our operations and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities that include maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide A&P’s; direct the Piston Shop's day work activity
• Schedule work in the shop and manage technician assignments
• Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, maintenance status, sqk approval, & invoicing
• Review and approve completed work orders
• Aid in troubleshooting, answering questions, and finding solutions to keep maintenance projects and technicians on task
• Manage projects to ensure schedule attainment and budget is made
• Manage team members accordingly to stay on task and accomplish tasks in the most efficient manner
• Break down barriers causing schedule delays
• Communicate to employees the goals and expectations of the company and their corresponding projects.
• Handle conflict amongst employees and drive accountability to company metrics.
• Ensure compliance with relevant FAA regulations.
• Communicate cross-functionally with shipping and A&Ps, as well as receiving, parts, HR, and other company leadership, as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Possible on-call for AOG after hours.

Experience:

• Aircraft maintenance: 3 years (Required)
• Management: 3 years (Required)
• Piston Aircraft Maintenance: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Airframe & Powerplant License (Required)
• IA (Inspection Authorization) (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• North Platte, NE 69101: Relocate before starting work (Required)
