To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor in our Maintenance Department. The primary responsibility of the position is maintaining and scheduling manpower, workloads, parts, tools, and supplies for the day-to-day operation. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises maintenance staff in repair, inspection, alteration, and modification of the aircraft. The successful candidate will hold a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License and have one year of experience as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic. This position will report to the Manager, Aircraft Heavy Maintenance.
Essential Duties:
Supervise maintenance staff in repair, inspection, alteration, and modification on the aircraft
Make “real time” decisions that affect the company’s performance
Maintain a safe and efficient work environment while operating within company, FAA, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines
Develop procedures to increase efficiency and reduce overall costs
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
Possess FAA Airframe and Powerplant Licenses
One (1) year of experience as an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic
Ability to evaluate, praise, and provide accountability to team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous background and/or experience in mechanical operations or endeavors
Work Environment:
Airport ramp/warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
All shifts including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts
Some travel is required
Physical Requirements:
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 100+ pounds occasionally, with assistance from co-workers or tools
