Aircraft Maintenance Technician- First Shift

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs removal/installation, cleaning, inspection, repair and replacement of Power Plant systems components and accessories. All work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, applicable manufacturer maintenance manuals, company directives and other approved data.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

• Must hold valid FAA Powerplant certificate
• 2 years of experience as a jet engine technician (Preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams and work cards
• Possess own tools applicable to performing job
• A valid driver's license
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work overtime, shift work & weekends at short notice

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:  

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
• Power plant license preferred

Experience:

• 2 years of experience as a jet engine technician – preferred
• Power plant license preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to read, write and understand English as this is a FAA requirement  

Working Conditions / Environment / Special Requirements

• Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations.
• As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 191***** "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
• Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
• Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
