What You Will be Doing 

The Aircraft Maintenance Technicians play a key role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of Albertsons’ aircraft. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician must have a professional demeanor and excellent communication skills, receiving instructions and confirming details. We are seeking candidates with friendly and outgoing personalities who have experience providing quality customer service, the ability to work flexible hours as needed and the desire to work in an aviation setting. 

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician represents Albertsons Companies in a positive and professional manner while interacting and upholding excellent relationships with passengers, and fellow team members. 

The position will be based in Boise, Idaho 

 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Comply with inspections, standards, methods, and procedures per all applicable FAR’s and manufacturer    recommendations.  
  • Complete proper inspection records, reports, and forms required by the CFRs or manufacturer recommendations.  
  • Inspect aircraft and approve maintenance actions, as applicable, to meet airworthiness standards.  
  • Plan and develop maintenance and inspection procedures, in collaboration with the Chief of Maintenance for aircraft based on manufacturer’s recommended procedures.  
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft mechanical systems.  
  • Repair hydraulic systems.  
  • Adjust aircraft systems rigging.  
  • Repair aircraft electrical systems.  
  • Service and inspect auxiliary power unit and aircraft engines.  
  • Perform aircraft servicing.  
  • Maintain interior components.  
  • Perform structural repairs.  
  • Maintain and repair hangar and ground support equipment.  
  • Supervise outside maintenance.  
  • Handle baggage and comply with aircraft baggage restrictions.  
  • Supervise and perform aircraft fueling and check fuel and lubricants.  
  • Assist the flight crew, as required.  
  • Conduct post flight inspections.  
  • Provide emergency assistance to passengers, as necessary.  
  • Assume additional duties as delegated by the Chief of Maintenance.  

 

What we are searching for 

  • Possess and maintain valid state driver’s license. 
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.  
  • Aviation work experience of at least three (3) years.  
  • Inspector Authorization (IA) (highly recommended).  
  • Must be able pass a Boise Airport Security/TSA background check. 
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and various degrees of aircraft noise. 
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and occasional above groundwork with ladders and manlift
