Reporting to: Operations Manager, Person Responsible for Training (PRT)

Salary:

$74,618.00 - $88,536.00 annual starting wage, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement (annual increments up to a maximum salary of $114,001.00). Vacation entitlement annually is 240 hours (pro-rated from hire date for current year), to be utilized for summer months (July and August). We offer paid time off between Christmas and New Year's, and an excellent extended health and dental package. Enrolment in the College Pension Plan is mandatory, with basic contributions matched by the Employer.

Description:

Northern Lights College is seeking a full-time instructor for the Aircraft Maintenance Technician Program, with a focus on delivering the AS350 helicopter type course and Arriel 1 engine course. Instruction in other courses within the AMT department will be as required, to support both the industry and students needs.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Valid Canadian AME license, Category M1/M2.
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical licensed experience.
  • The ability to be an effective and positive team member is essential.
  • Experience with the MS Office 365 suite software

Preference given to applicants with helicopter experience and endorsements as well as one or more of the following:

  • Experience or education in the delivery of post-secondary instruction in aviation.
  • Provincial Instructors Diploma Program (PIDP), or equivalent.
  • Experience with online course delivery platforms (Moodle, Blackboard or D2L).
  • Helicopter experience specific to Bell 204/205/206/ or AS350.
  • Experience with the following engines: Arriel 1 / 2; RR C20; and LTS 101 family of engines.
  • Avionics systems and field maintenance experience with fundamental avionics systems.
