The role:
A Part 21 aircraft manufacturing quality inspector ensures that aircraft and aircraft parts are manufactured in accordance with the approved design and are safe to operate. They also ensure that the quality system is in place to control the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:
• Aid in setting up a Quality system to support manufacturing under the PC
• Responsible for procedures, processes and Quality System development and implementation to include but not limited to:
o Quality Manual
o Receiving Inspection
o First Article Process
o Training
• Lead and motivate a diverse group
• Assume the role of Accountable Manager being the focal contact with the FAA
• Establish and implement metrics for measuring effectiveness
• Communicate with FAA.
• Good understanding of CFR FAR Part 21
• Responsible for exhibiting professional behaviour with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.

Knowledge and Experience requirements:
• CFR FAR Part 21, specifically 21.137
• FAA, EAR and ITAR standards and regulations
• ACFT parts and material conformity inspections
• First Article processes with AS9102 protocols.
• Ability to read and understand Blueprints and GD&T
• 5+ years working in aerospace quality with an emphasis on manufacturing per CFR FAR Part 21
• Good time-management, planning and organization skills
• Working knowledge and experience in inspection methods and techniques
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Excellent experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
