Avionics Mechanic II will provide Contract Maintenance Support (CMS.).
GENERAL: Knowledge of procedures required to ensure electrical static discharge, electrical bonding and electromagnetic compatibility; performs required scheduled/unscheduled inspections on applicable systems/components per MRCs; incorporates applicable TDs; detects corrosion and performs corrosion prevention/treatment; demonstrates/applies knowledge of the theory of operation and performs organizational level maintenance on the environmental control system (ECS), electrical system, cargo hook/rescue hoist system and underwater acoustic beacon, fire detection and suppression system, flight control systems, fuel management system, hydraulic system and ramp/door systems, ice and rain protection system, indicating and recording system, landing gear and nose wheel steering systems, lighting system, navigation system, aircraft wiring systems, communication system, cockpit management system, auxiliary power system, proprotor system, drive system, blade fold/wing stow system, engine auxiliary systems, engine system, and electronic warfare system using appropriate maintenance procedures and support/test equipment..
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform all work in accordance with the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2, Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP), applicable MV-22B maintenance instruction manuals (MIMs), Technical Directives (TDs), HMX-1 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other instructions as may be applicable in support of these tasks. LOGMET Qualifications/Certifications/Licenses (QCLs) will l be verified to ensure that they were obtained in accordance with standards established under the NAMP and NAVMC 4790.1A, Aviation Maintenance Training & Readiness Program (AMTRP).
