Job Summary
Perform a basic to advanced level skilled work to identify, remove, and install aircraft components and to perform servicing of engines and aircraft accessories to ensure airworthiness according to customer specifications and FAA standards. Reads and complies with instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work.
Qualifications
- Experience with Boeing, Airbus and/or Embraer model aircraft preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
- Driver's License
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate is preferred; Airframe Familiarization (FAM) course certificates preferred.
- Minimum 18 months of relevant experience providing knowledge of narrow and wide body airframe techniques, terminology, parts, etc, or completion of FAA approved A&P program.
- Basic computer skills to navigate Flightstar’s ERP system, vending (POU), as well as research customer’s maintenance manuals.
- Lifts and carries hand tools, parts, and work materials; ascends and descends ladders and platforms; and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping, kneeling or squatting.
