Aircraft Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Aircraft Mechanic to add his/her expertise to our team. The candidate will perform a variety of tasks related to established methods and processes. He/she will work from written instructions or general guidelines on aircraft and systems of average complexity.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled avionics and maintenance tasks;
• Perform inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, modifications, installations, functional tests, etc. of all types of radios, radars, navigation, entertainment and cabin management systems, and other equipment;
• Document deviations and raise non-conformance reports in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as customer manuals as required;
• Determine appropriate corrective actions necessary to rectify deviations;
• Perform a wide variety of avionics and maintenance activities;
• Perform modification activities;
• Document maintenance actions, in accordance with company policies and procedures, and customer manuals as required;
• Complete various forms, labels and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures and customer manuals as required;
• Estimate time required to complete non-conformance reports and coordinate with various supervisors to ensure work requirements for all positions have been addressed;
• Identify and make purchase requisitions;
• Work closely with various supervisors to ensure work is completed on schedule;
• Route unusable, expired or rejected parts awaiting disposal to quarantine;
• Ensure that all replacement parts are properly inspected and certified prior to installation;
• Guarantee that all work is performed in accordance with company quality standards, policies and procedures, as well as regulatory agency requirements (TC, FAA, etc.);
• Report any quality issues to the Production Manager and Quality Department;
• Any other function assigned by the immediate superior.

Skills and qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably in a heavy maintenance environment.
• Thorough knowledge of civil aviation regulations.
• Commitment to safety, quality and operational efficiency

Required experience

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
