General Description and Classification Standards
The Training and Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs to ensure the continuous improvement of employee performance and the quality of products or services delivered. The responsibility of the position is to ensure compliance with regulations and standards, planning and supervising training activities, and monitoring performance to maintain quality standards. This role involves developing training materials, designing quality control processes, conducting audits, maintaining and tracking required employees records, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and establish quality standards and procedures. The Training and Quality Assurance Manager plays a key role in promoting a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction and organizational efficiency.
Supervision Received
This position reports to the Airport Director. Normally receives guidance regarding overall short-term and mid-term objectives, scheduling, unusual priorities, and is expected to structure their workday to accomplish established goals for self and direct reports. This is a policy-advisory level of management and would be considered middle management.
Responsibilities

• Establish quality standards, metrics, and procedures to measure and monitor performance across departments.
• Conduct regular audits and evaluations to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas of improvement.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective action plans and preventative measures to address quality issues.
• Design, develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to meet organizational needs and objectives.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods, such as classroom training, e-learning, workshops, and simulations to optimize learning outcomes.
• Deliver training sessions effectively to individuals or groups, ensuring understanding and retention of content.
• Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions that foster a positive learning environment.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement, and make recommendations for adjustments to training strategies or quality processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiative to enhance training effectiveness, employee performance, and product/service quality.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to training and quality assurance.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment of training objectives with organizational goals.
• Provide regular updates and reports on training activities, performance metrics, and quality assurance findings to management.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Business, or related field
• 3 years of managerial experience
• Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning tools, and quality management software.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA regulations).
• Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Access), Visio and SharePoint.
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered as a substitution for the degree on an exception basis.
Preferred Education & Experience
• 5 years of Managerial experience
• Expert experience level of Microsoft Suite, Visio, and SharePoint
Licensures and Certifications
Certification in training, quality management, or related areas is a plus.
Essential Capabilities and Work Environment
