Avocet Aviation Services, an FAA Certified Repair Station located in Central Florida, is always accepting applicants for our Registered Apprenticeship Program, however we do not anticipate bringing on any new apprentices until December 2024 or January 2025. Our apprenticeship program is designed to provide hands-on experience and mentorship to individuals eager to jumpstart their careers in Aviation Maintenance.
As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced aircraft mechanics and other professionals to gain practical skills and knowledge. This is a unique opportunity to learn from industry leaders and contribute to real projects while developing your expertise in Aviation Maintenance. At the conclusion of our 30-month program, you will be eligible to test for your Airframe and Powerplant certifications.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Depth perception, and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
