Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilites:· Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.· Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.· Assist with the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, including but not limited to timely account reconciliations and journal entry preparation with a focus on the asset portfolio.· Monitor and analyze department work to develop department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintain a high level of accuracy.· Interface with other departments to verify transaction report data and issues.· Support handling of non-route reporting transactions.· Respond to inquiries from the CEO regarding financial results, special reporting request· Work with the retained audit firm to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.· Support the financial reporting function to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.· Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.· Work with direct report to establish performance goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development.Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in a mid-sized corporate accounting environmentSkills and Abilities:· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.· Adequate technical accounting experiencePhysical Requirements:· Requires prolonged periods of sitting at desk.· Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, such as movement of wrists, hands, fingers while typing.· May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
