  • Supervise and coordinate all Cargo and Ramp operations, ensuring on-time performance and compliance to safety, security and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor Ramp activities, ensuring timely aircraft turnaround and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Cargo and Ramp operations and carry out performance appraisals, employees counseling and development to achieve the Department’s objectives.
  • Actively participate in Roster Committees, allocate tasks, succession planning, on the job training, employee counselling’s and employee appraisals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, maintain OTP and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and maintain operation reports and recommending for improvements and cost control and enhance productivity.
  • Thorough knowledge of border control requirements including but not limited to CAAF, BAF, MOH and Airlines.
  • Assist in Investigating incidents or non-conformity in the Department and recommend/implement preventive and corrective action.
  • Manages and prepares the Departmental budgets and initiates measures to achieve the targets and objectives set therein.
  • Assist with the deployment, control and discipline of the Department’s equipment and facilities to ensure that the handling services provided to scheduled and non-scheduled carriers comply with the required standards.
  • Compile reports on various efficiency measures for monthly review as well as inclusion in annual MRB reports.
  • Communication of documentation changes and other instructions to staff via written and/or verbal instruction. This role requires direct liaison with Supervisors, TSO, and iAMS team.
  • Plans annual leave for Cargo and Ramp Services department and ensures availability of adequate manpower.
  • Maintains statistical data, ensures all Airline and Company Manuals are amended and updated regularly and information disseminated to staff.
  • Coordinate with airline representatives and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Carry out all other related functions as required.




Requirements

  • University degree in a commercial discipline or related field OR at least 15 years of experience in a commercial environment with demonstrated business analysis know-how.
  • Minimum 10 years work experience within the Aviation industry with strong knowledge of airport operations, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Good understanding of Corporate Policies and Procedures and Statutory Employment Laws and Regulations.
  • Ability to work with diverse team and work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, planning and coordinating, teamwork skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other relevant tools.
