What does it involve?

You’ll be tasked with observing aviation apprentices in their place of work across the UK and evaluating and assessing them at the end of their apprenticeship programme. This role is crucial in ensuring that apprentices have the skills and knowledge required for them to achieve the apprenticeship standard. Each assessment takes around 3-4 hours, following which you will be required to write a report, which can be uploaded onto our online system.

Choose how you work:

You can take this position on a self-employed basis by becoming an associate – you’ll receive a standard day rate of £175 per day, and will be required to provide a minimum of 2 days a week between Monday and Friday. You must be flexible to travel. Please note that while we try and keep associates within a 70-mile radius of each assessment, but this is not always possible, so further travel may be required on occasion in this role.

Work as a full-time employee of Highfield – you’ll work 40 hours per week, which may on occasion include evenings and weekends. You’ll receive an annual salary of £28k. National travel around the UK will be required.

Requirements

• Experience in the aviation industry across operations and/or aircraft movement within the last 12 months. (ramp agents, baggage handlers, passenger services)
• Knowledge of legislation within the aviation industry
• Driving licence with own transport and willingness to travel to assessments
