AirX Jet Support is a leading provider of high-quality aviation maintenance services, dedicated to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet.


We are looking for a skilled Aviation Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance activities of our aviation fleet. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance, ensuring compliance with EASA/CAA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures. This role requires a strong background in aviation maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.

 

Main responsibilities and duties
•Oversee all maintenance work in accordance with work orders, MOE procedures, and EASA regulations.
•Supervise and coordinate activities of aircraft maintenance staff.
•Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety policies, and human factors principles.
•Manage workforce competence, training programs, and performance assessments.
•Ensure proper planning and availability of tools, equipment, materials, and personnel.
•Implement and manage an efficient production planning system.
•Oversee both internal and subcontracted maintenance work, ensuring contract fulfilment.
•Provide feedback on contracted services and address compliance deficiencies.
•Ensure high workmanship standards and adherence to regulatory compliance.
•Maintain accurate maintenance data, records, and documentation.
•Identity and report any unclear or incomplete maintenance procedures.
•Develop and enforce a standardized work card/worksheet system.
•Notify the Accountable Manager of any operational deficiencies, including workforce shortages.
•Ensure appropriate facilities, working environments, and storage for maintenance operations.
•Oversee technical documentation for customers and internal record-keeping.
•Manage costs and budget, developing business cases to support operational needs and business requirements.
•Identifying areas of inefficiency in planning, maintenance, and supply chain, and establishing, coordinating, and leading improvement projects.
•Continuously evolving and refining in-maintenance planning processes and critical path management.


Requirements
•Proven experience in aircraft maintenance management within a Part 145 organization, Part 66 B1 (B2 & C License desirable).
•Strong knowledge of EASA regulations, maintenance procedures, and compliance standards demonstratable by evidence.
•Knowledge of a relevant sample of aircraft type(s) maintained, demonstrated by training course or by an assessment performed by the competent authority.
•Leadership experience with the ability to train, develop, and manage personnel.
•Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
•Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (preferred), with at least two years in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position.
•Right to work in the United Kingdom (required).
•Full UK driving license and own transport.
•The successful candidate must undergo DBS security clearance, including 3 years of reference checks.
•Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication at a professional level).
