About the role

As a Project Manager - Aviation, you’ll be the driving force behind the design, development, and commissioning of top-tier aviation fuel systems. From tanks to pipelines and everything in between, you’ll ensure that systems meet safety, compliance, and operational standards, all while delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions within IOR’s fastest growing business unit. This role is based at The Port of Brisbane.

  • Coordinate project scope, track the design and development of aviation fuel infrastructure.
  • Oversee all phases of project delivery from planning to procurement, construction, and commissioning to ensure on-time, on-budget completion every time.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with airport authorities, refuelling operators, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and tracking expenditures. Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused environment.
  • Risk management and compliance of all aviation project management and delivery.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent working experience.
  • Strong understanding of aviation fuel systems, regulations, and industry best practices is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead cross-functional, remote teams effectively.
  • Strong skills in analysing and solving complex problems with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Proven experience in managing infrastructure projects in the aviation or fuel industry and proficiency with project management software and engineering design tools.
