About the position

BIA is excited to share an exciting career opportunity for an Aviation Security Screener to join their high performing and friendly team.

This role works confidently to provide quality aircraft and passenger security screening services determined by relevant aviation security Acts and airport policies. Key responsibilities include actively participating in developing improved methodology processes with passengers and goods entering the sterile environment. Maintaining a high level to all OSH aspects and emergency procedures with an ability to effectively resolve identified security breaches and awareness to all airport emergency plans and procedures is also essential.

About the person we seek

As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong communication, negotiating and problem solve skills with an ability to apply initiative. You will be a strong team player who works in a professional manner and able to prioritise whilst working under pressure.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

• Minimum 12 months experience in Aviation Security Screening role

• Cert II Transport Security Protection (AVI20118)

• Ability to work a flexible schedule with rotating shifts, including on-call and weekends, up to 38 hours per week with potential overtime.

• Eligible Working in Australia rights.
