Aviation Workshop/Production Manager

Main responsibilities

As Workshop Manager your key role will be to oversee the workshop staff and co-ordinate all tasks through the production office, ensuring best practise is followed on the workshop floor and in an efficient and timely manner.

You will be responsible to the Accountable Manager, ensuring the workshop is fully compliant with company MOE and relevant governing bodies (EASA/CAA/FAA)

Your daily duties will include:

• Assign tasks and labour as required – monitoring work flow and managing/forecasting delays and mitigating issues if/when they arise

• Attending daily production meetings

• Communicating with the production office regarding continuity of production

• Co-ordinating alongside the stores department 

• Supervision of workshop staff

• Ensuring all documentation is kept up to date and compliant through to completion

• Control any AOG requirements when necessary 

• Assisting with internal and external audit processes

• Assist with inspections on receipt of components, stage inspection and on completion raise release certification

• Compiling information up to quotation level to support the Production Office

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Aviation Employment

Management experience desirable but not essential

A good knowledge base of aircraft manuals/documents

Computer literacy and experience in Office based and Aviation software 

Previous company approvals are preferred

Knowledge of composite repairs desirable
