Alpine Aerotech is currently seeking a highly motivated Avionics Apprentice to join our rapidly expanding team in West Kelowna.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AVIONICS APPRENTICE
  • Perform maintenance and installation of avionics systems in accordance with applicable drawings and manuals;

  • Troubleshoot avionics systems to diagnose and perform adjustments, service, repairs and modifications according to SOPs;

  • Perform and document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance;

  • Demonstrate capability to understand and perform various technical functions associated to aircraft;

  • Assist in the management of inventory;

  • Assist in the maintaining of shop equipment;

  • Be prepared to apply safe work practices with proper PPE;

  • Fulfill additional duties as required; and

  • Uphold an unwavering standard of excellence that impeccably represents the Alpine Aerotech brand.

OUR MUST HAVES
  • Graduation from a Transport Canada accredited Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Category ‘E’ program;

  • Valid driver’s license;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality deliverables;

  • Strong time and project management skills and self-motivation;

  • Robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships;

  • Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling; and

  • Know what it means to work smarter, not harder.

The range for this role is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
