Okulo Aerospace is an early-stage stealth startup based out of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Combining renewable energy and precision engineering, we are currently developing solar-electric hybrid aerial platforms that will revolutionize aerial data acquisition. We envision a world where drones can fly continuously without having to land at all and we are currently in the first step towards realizing that vision. We are seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to oversee the development and integration of avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics engineering, leadership skills, and a passion for aviation innovation. Requirements
- Design, develop, and test avionics systems for UAVs, ensuring integration with flight control software and hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, electrical) to ensure seamless integration of avionics systems into overall drone platforms.
- Develop and maintain documentation for avionics system designs, including schematics, technical drawings, and performance specifications.
- Implement safety features and redundancy protocols in avionics systems to ensure UAV reliability and performance in various operating conditions.
- Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrades of avionics hardware and software.
- Assist in flight tests and analyze performance data to refine avionics systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and contribute to innovation in UAV avionics technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Avionics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with avionics systems, preferably in UAV or aerospace industries.
- Proficiency in avionics software development and simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience with sensors, communication systems, flight controllers, and navigation systems.
- Strong understanding of system integration, embedded systems, and control algorithms.
