Summary of Position Perform inspections, installation, maintenance, and repair of customer aircraft avionics and electrical systems and components in an airworthy manner and in compliance manufacturer’s maintenance instructions and/or other approved data, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR Parts 65, 145, etc.), customer requirements, and company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects and tasks ensuring completed items meet or exceed customer expectations, delivery schedule, and budget.
- Document all work daily and ensure smooth production flow between workdays/shifts and comply with FAA requirements for documented maintenance.
- Ensure only approved parts, materials, tools, and/or equipment are used in the performance of duties.
- Account for all tools and equipment daily and prior to release of any aircraft or article.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and control foreign object debris (FOD)
- Ensure all labor and materials are properly accounted for and are allocated to the appropriate project.
- Maintain proficiency by fully participating in the company training and continuous improvement programs.
- Confidentiality of company business, projects, and plans is required and discussion with third party personnel or organizations is prohibited. Position requires compliance with a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement.
- Performance of other duties as assigned and/or outlined by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum five (5) years of documented experience in the inspection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems and/or components. Must be knowledgeable with FAA Parts 65, 135, and 145 and other applicable regulations relative to aircraft avionics and electrical systems maintenance and the proper use of technical data (manufacturers’ manuals, engineering prints, wiring diagrams, etc.). Manage projects to maintain delivery schedules and budgets and provide regular project updates to customers and management.
- Customer Service: Manages difficult or emotional customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance, and meets commitments.
- Interpersonal Skills: Focuses on solving conflict through positive collaboration, maintains confidentiality, keeps emotions under control, remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things.
- Garmin Avionics ecosystem (G1000-G3000, G5000) and Honeywell Pro Line 21.
- RVSM inspections and certification for both light jets and larger corporate aircraft, such as Gulfstream, Bombardier Global, Cessna Citation, Embraer, and HondaJet.
Education & Experience
- Must possess a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license or be able to obtain a valid FAA Repairman Certificate with authorization to perform the tasks detailed above. FCC License preferred, but not required if sufficient demonstrated experience exists.
- High School diploma required. Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
- Familiarity with various computer software systems required. Corridor experience is a plus.
Schedule & Travel
- Work schedule is driven by customer requirements and schedules; however, the typical work schedule includes five 8-hour workdays weekly with the potential for after-hours and weekend requirements inherent to the aviation industry.
- Overtime, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required to support customer delivery schedules and AOG support.
- Multi-day domestic and international on-site customer support trips may be required. But not regularly scheduled.

- FLSA Status: Full time exempt.
- Lifting requirements: up to 25lbs.
- Valid U.S. state-issued driver’s license required.
