Job Summary
Installs, inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs aircraft avionics equipment and systems. Performs operational tests and functional checks on aircraft avionics systems, and troubleshoots and corrects problems. Reads blueprints and schematics. Reads and complies with instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
- Driver's License
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate is preferred but not required; Airframe Familiarization (FAM) course certificates preferred but not required.
- FCC License preferred (FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License) but not required.
- Minimum 18 months of relevant experience providing knowledge of narrow and wide body airframe techniques, terminology, parts, etc, or completion of FAA approved A&P program.
- Individual will perform daily transactions within Flightstar’s ERP system, vending (POU), as well as research customer’s maintenance manuals.
- Lifts and carries hand tools, parts, and work materials; ascends and descends ladders and platforms; and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping, kneeling or squatting.
