Rocky Mountain Aircraft Services is seeking qualified Avionics Technicians to join our growing team. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Install, inspect, test, or repair avionics equipment. Such as radar, pilot-static tests, radio, and navigation systems and prepare and complete required documentation of work performed. Other duties may be assigned to meet operational needs. 

General: 

  • Responsible and accountable at all times for operating in the best interest of the Employer. 
  • Maintain a positive representation of the Employer at all times including the name, integrity, culture, and concept of Rocky Mountain Aircraft. 
  • Consistently adhere to company policies and guidelines. 

The candidate must adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to the work area and job functions, along with other duties. RMAS offers competitive wage and benefit packages*.

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:

  • Document maintenance and repair work in accordance with FAA regulations and Company protocol.
  • Provide accurate and detailed descriptions indicating specific repairs performed. 
  • Research and order the proper required parts needed for the maintenance of aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies. 
  • Test, remove, replace, or repair avionics equipment. Test and inspect avionics equipment for recertification. 
  • Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft.
  • Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional ground tests of electronic systems. 
  • Be knowledgeable of FAA regulations.

Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of aircraft and articles as assigned in accordance with RMAS policies and procedures. Ensure goals and objectives are met while ensuring all aircraft maintenance documentation is performed in compliance with applicable FAA regulations, RMAS policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals.

Requirements:

  • 3 years minimum experience preferred 
  • GA Preferred  
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as random screening and background check
  • Must be able to work well with fellow maintainers, pilots, office personnel, and management
