Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AW169 Licensed Engineer to join our team in Liskeard. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of our AW169 helicopters, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AW169 helicopters.
  • Diagnose and rectify defects in accordance with approved maintenance data.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
  • Provide and communicate regular engineering reports to the Head of Maintenance/Head of Department.
  • Certify work within the scope of company authorisations.
  • Carry out both line and base maintenance at any of the Castle Air facilities, and also off-site upon customer demand.
  • Undertake all tasks related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Ensure the highest quality and standards of work are completed in relation to aircraft, components, and documentation.
  • Ensure facilities, equipment, and premises are maintained to an acceptable standard.
  • Ensure operational crew members are debriefed to ensure defects are accurately defined and recorded.
  • Analyse and interpret technical aircraft information.
  • Work with other Castle Air Departments to ensure smooth operation of the business.
  • Closely supervise other engineering and support staff as required.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained to industry requirements and authorities 
  • Comply with all Continuing Professional Development requirements relevant to the relevant company policies and reporting authority.
  • Complete all tasks as specified in an efficient and compliant manner ensuring that safety matters are always considered and adhered to.
  • Effective management of all maintenance within your control.
  • Computer literate on Microsoft-based systems.

Requirements:

  • CAA Part 66 B1.3 with AW169 type rating.
  • Proven experience in helicopter maintenance, preferably on AW169.
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
