The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to support the integration of HeliMods world leading mission systems into customer aircraft within the scope of HeliMods CASA approvals. The role will also be integral in the support of the integrated systems when introduced into service in a field service support role. Duties will be conducted primarily at the HeliMods Caloundra facility, and you may be deployed globally from time to time.
Position Duties
As a B1.3 or B2 Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Apply specialist knowledge and experience to efficiently perform product and aircraft maintenance and integration activities to a high standard on challenging and complex parts using specialised tools in accordance with approved maintenance data, industry standards, engineering specifications, work instructions and procedures.
- Perform customer support activities including service orders, integration commissioning, testing, ground tests and flight tests.
- Assist production team with assembly of systems and sub systems when required.
- Complete functional testing, quality and assurance inspections and defect diagnosis and rectification.
- Support commercial processes by responding to requests for information relating to supply of new equipment, and maintenance on existing equipment.
- Adhere to required organisational approvals including the CAR 30 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) exposition.
- Maintain accurate records and traceability of maintenance operations including inputs and outputs.
- Perform verification and validation activities using company and industry standard testing tools and approaches.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to always ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
- Collaborate with team and provide direct technical inputs to positively influence achievement of DIFOT.
- Technical support of delivered mission systems as required and coordinated by HeliMods Customer Support
- Provide technical advice to HeliMods departments on how to improve HeliMods products from maintainability and reliability perspectives in order to ensure the very best outcomes of availability for customers.
- Engage with customer, project, engineering and production teams to provide feedback on integration data, including working to document and deploy improvement initiatives and develop or evolve standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on aircraft and support other team members to resolve their issues whilst informing updates to process.
- Perform required quality processes including checking and maintaining calibrated tools and equipment used.
- Role model enterprise processes and standards to others in team.
- Mentor and support team members in learning and performing skills, including specialist skills.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Hold current CASR Part 66 AW139 B1.3 or B2 Type rating with at least 5 years of type experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the integration of complex mission systems.
- Demonstrated experience in a multi-faceted aviation maintenance environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to successfully obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
- Ability to pass random and routine drug and alcohol screening for employment purposes.
