Base Maintenance Manager

Excel are pleased to be working with a leading MRO based in Europe to source an experienced fixed wing Base Maintenance Manager to join the company on a permanent basis - this is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company in the aircraft maintenance world.

Overseeing the complete base maintenance operation for the customer you will lead a large team of licenced and unllicenced engineers carrying out a variety of hangar based work including C checks, AD's, SB's, modification projects end of lease checks and much more for some of the worlds best known airlines.

This is a management position in the truest sense - working with internal and external customers to ensure an efficient and effective maintenance program involving planning, costings, manpower supply and directing the team on a daily basis.

The ideal person will have a strong background within heavy maintenance, with at least 5 years in a management level role and be fully capable of handling a large operational team to produce outstanding results.  Organisational competency will be key, as will a strong knowledge of pulling together all aspects of aircraft maintenance (CAMO, planning, customer relations, costings) to continue the companies growth and reputation as a global leader.
