It's worth changing. Helvetic Airways operates a 20+ aircrafts fleet in Europe including the most modern regional aircraft Embraer E2 with the environment-friendly engines of the manufacturer Pratt&Whitney.

The CAMO Engineer is continuously monitoring and reviewing the airworthiness and technical performance of helvetic aircrafts and interacts with internal/external stake holders to maximize operational availability whilst minimizing operation disruption by the efficient management and support of the following specific responsibilities and activities.

The Task and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • supervision of the maintenance activities performed by the contracted maintenance organizations
  • evaluation, recommendation, and instruction on the implementation of regulatory requirements and Manufacturers recommendations including support of the implementation phase
  • provide recommendations for aircraft and equipment modifications programs  and monitor their effectiveness
  • active involvement in the establishment, revision and optimization of maintenance programs
  • tracking and evaluating reliability data of systems, structure and  components. Recommendation of appropriate corrective/mitigating actions
  • support systems, components and structures defect assessments and rectification

Requirements:

  • completed engineering or technical training in the field of mechanical engineering, preferably in aerospace or electrical engineering, or qualified as an aircraft mechanic or electrician with several years of professional experience.
  • extensive technical knowledge and several years of professional experience in the maintenance of aircraft in the maintenance area / overhaul area
  • self-confidence excellent team spirit
  • ability to describe and present complex technical challenges, considering economic/technical considerations
  • knowledge of AMOS is a plus
  • knowledge of aircraft and maintenance documentation including aviation legislation EASA Part-CAMO
  • fluent written and spoken English, German is desirable
  • EU / EFTA passport or residence permit in Switzerland
