Our client is a unique, International Air Cargo company in the handling of air and ground logistics as well as aviation services. They are currently seeking to recruit a Compensation and Benefits Manager to join their team in Europe.
Position
The Compensation and Benefits Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits programs across all entities within the Group to ensure competitiveness and alignment with business objectives. This role involves developing global compensation strategies, managing employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Additionally, the role will include oversight of the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to ensure data accuracy, system efficiency, and strategic integration of HR processes.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global compensation strategies that align with the company’s business objectives, market trends, and pay equity goals.
- Conduct global market benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitive compensation practices across different regions and markets.
- Oversee the administration of salary structures/grids, incentive programs, and bonus plans, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization.
- Design and manage the annual compensation review process, including merit increases, promotions, and bonus allocations.
- Collaborate with HR Managers and leadership teams to provide guidance on compensation-related decisions, including offers, promotions, and job evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations regarding compensation practices in all entities.
- Design and manage global employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other benefits.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to benefits programs based on employee feedback, market trends, and organizational needs.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, brokers, and consultants to ensure the effective delivery of benefits programs.
- Oversee the global benefits enrolment process and ensure clear communication of benefits information to employees.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to benefits in all jurisdictions.
- Develop and implement global wellness programs that promote employee well-being and work-life balance.
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to support compensation, benefits, and broader HR functions.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data in the HRIS, including employee compensation, benefits, and performance records.
- Collaborate with IT and HR teams to ensure the HRIS supports key HR processes, including compensation reviews, benefits enrolment, and reporting.
- Analyse HRIS data and generate reports to provide insights into compensation trends, benefits utilization, and workforce metrics.
- Manage system upgrades, configuration changes, and new module implementations to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Provide training and support to HR teams and managers on the effective use of the HRIS.
- Ensure global compensation and benefits programs comply with local labour laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor changes in global regulations and make recommendations to adjust compensation and benefits policies as needed.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks related to global compensation and benefits administration.
- Collaborate with the internal communications team to ensure that compensation and benefits program details and changes are effectively communicated to all employees.
- Lead information sessions and training programs to educate employees and managers on compensation and benefits policies and best practices.
- Develop and manage the budget for global compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct cost analyses to evaluate the financial impact of compensation and benefits programs and make recommendations to improve cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting and financial reporting related to compensation and benefits expenses.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or certification in Compensation & Benefits preferred).
• 7-10 years of experience in compensation and benefits management, with a focus on global or multinational environments.
• Strong knowledge of global compensation practices, market benchmarking, and job evaluation methodologies.
• Experience managing employee benefits programs across multiple countries and regions.
• Proficiency in managing and optimizing HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present compensation and benefits data.
• Strong understanding of global labour laws and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
• Fluent English (verbal and written).
Terms
This is a permanent position which carries a remuneration in the area of 70K EUR, health and life insurance plus relocation package. This position also benefits from special tax status of 15% in the country.
