Composite Inspector

We are looking for a new member to join our inspection team at Stansted Aerospace Limited. A good level of communication skills and a team building attitude is paramount

The summary of the job role responsibilities are:

• Perform effective Incoming Inspection of items received for repair, ensuring all defects are detailed in an accurate concise manner.
• Liaise with bonded stores regarding the materials required to repair
• Ensure all composite aircraft components and assemblies are repaired effectively IAW relevant maintenance data
• Ensure all paperwork is completed effectively.

Essential requirements:

5 years experience in aviation maintenance, with knowledge of the following:

• Metal to metal bonding
• Composite structure repairs and procedures
• Repairs to flying surfaces
• Honeycomb repairs
• Sandwich repairs
• Fibre glass moulds fabrication

Computer literacy and experience with office base software

Good Knowledge base of Aircraft Maintenance manuals and documents, with a preference to Boeing and Airbus.

Desirable attributes:

• Knowledge of paint systems and application
