Position Summary:

Generates and refines system level and detailed technical requirements for avionics integration efforts. Designs group A components for air worthiness, operational suitability, safety, effectiveness, and produce ability. Completes all tasks autonomously.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Find ways to create efficiencies in system design processes and practices.
  • Mentor other team members as required.
  • Participate in efforts to generate refined requirements to ensure that needed capabilities are brought to the warfighter.
  • Provide mature leadership to the program team.
  • Conduct detailed design activities.
  • Work with production teams to ensure integration design meets requirements.
  • Participate in requirements generation/refinement for current and new hardware/software candidates based on systems engineering processes.

Mental Demands:

Able to perform all tasks as required by contractor or supervisor. Able to multi-task.

Communication Demands:

Able to communicate (i.e., verbal and written) with all levels of personnel both internally and externally.

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements (In Addition to Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands Listed Above):

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, structural, or systems engineering, or a similar field. Prefer an advanced degree.

Experience:

  • At least ten years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge in avionics, software, computer, and communications engineering.
  •  Experience with Finite Element Analysis 

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and processes
  • Strong engineering background
  •  

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • SECRET level clearance within 5 years.
 

 

Although enforcement is currently on hold, as a government contractor we fall under the Executive Order mandating vaccination and, depending on the court decisions, 

we may be required to have our employees vaccinated against COVID-19. We will also be considering religious and medical exemptions on a case-by-case basis.
