Job Description:
Reporting to the F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Manager the post holder will be undertaking a range of maintenance activities on F35 aircraft or aircraft components. The post holder requires a basic understanding of the construct of the approved Technical Information set and is competent to work to maintenance instructions with support and in accordance with the organisation’s MOE. The post holder will demonstrate the ability to follow approved Technical Information and work effectively within a team, in a diverse and dynamic operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate Is responsible to the Maintenance Manager through the Aircraft Supervisor for the completion of the following activities:
Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with the Approved Technical Information and relevant risk assessments.
Ensure all activities are appropriately documented and that all airworthiness records are maintained.
Compile appropriate reporting, identify any issues and escalate as appropriate.
Procedure/Standards – Complying with the Organisations MOE, its associated procedures and standards, and any other company procedures and standards.
Safety Management System – Understand and apply human factors, error management, within maintenance.
Continuing Airworthiness Assurance (Quality) – Ensuring maintenance activities are compliant with the Continuing Airworthiness Assurance Management system.
Undertaking a range of maintenance on an aircraft which may include, as appropriate, aircraft role changes, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test.
Undertake and complete maintenance instructions and schedules for planned and un-planned tasks, which may require undertaking diagnostic procedures, in accordance with tasked work package(s) for the aircraft.
The Individual Requirements:
2 years’ experience of working within and the practical application of EASA/MRP Part 145.
A log Book demonstrating breadth of experience, currency & recency of skills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft type or in workshops.
Experience of working on complex military aircraft programmes.
Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent military qualifications.
Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent.
