Location: Atlantic Aviation Group, Shannon Airport, Shannon, Co Clare
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract (11 Months)

Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Promote and demonstrate a safety mind-set in all aspects of Facilities work.
- Support the Facilities Manager in leading, managing and overseeing capex projects for the complete project life cycle, including identifying, initiating and developing plant projects, completing cost benefit reports and feasibility studies, tendering, preparation of project plans, stakeholder coordination and management, and execution of projects to successful and cost effective conclusions.
- Supporting in the overseeing of service provider contracts within the purview of the role, such as Roof Maintenance, Civils, Cleaning, landscaping sub-contracts, to ensure required standards are consistently achieved.
- Support the EPA and hazardous waste management processes as required, and supporting the waste management protocols on the site as required
- Ensuring Safe Access and Egress to the Facilities
- Managing Waste onsite within the site waste management protocols.
- Supporting in small works and ad hoc projects within the purview of the postholder.
- As part of the Facilities Team support the co-ordination of
- the mandatory inspections and preventative maintenance program for building infrastructure & PPMs.
- team efforts of the Facilities Technicians and external service providers in the execution of the preventative maintenance program and reactive work requests, including task assignment.
- Facility work processes to meet changing business and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure relevant Facilities Work Requests for PPM and Reactive works, job cards and other documentation are completed, processed and stored as appropriate.
- Ensuring service inspections are completed and documented in a timely and efficient manner.
- Contractors that attend site and ensure all the relevant documentation is in place prior to the work commencing.
- the Facilities Waste Technicians in support of the hazardous waste management process in accordance with EPA regulations.
- schedule the mandatory inspections and preventative maintenance program for building infrastructure.
- external service providers in the execution of the preventative maintenance program and reactive work requests, including task assignment.
- Assume rotation of roles within the team as PPM, Reactive or Floater
- Provide on-call cover as part of a Facilities Team roster if required.
- Support and participate in the introduction, maintenance and utilisation of a Computer Aided Facilities Management system.
- Ad-hoc tasks assigned by Facilities Manager or their delegate for the locations.
- Deputise for the co-ordination of Facilities duties and schedules if required.
- Generate and modify Facility work processes to meet changing business and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure relevant job cards and other documentation are completed and stored as appropriate.
- Ensure service inspections are completed and documented in a timely and efficient manner.
- Co-ordinate contractors that attend site and ensure all the relevant documentation is in place prior to the work commencing.
- Review and approve sub-contractor invoices and verify works done.
Experience/Qualification Requirements:
- Demonstrates an excellent safety behaviour and attitude.
- Demonstrates appropriate attitude and behaviour in support of safe working practices and maintenance standards.
- A Time-served Craftsperson (having completed a apprenticeship), ideally working within an industrial facilities maintenance environment, with at least two years relevant experience and proven project management ability may also be considered.
- Ideally have experience in the effective planning and organisation required to maintain a facility for Aircraft Maintenance.
- Ability to control of Budgets within approved Delegation of Authority Spend limits, and keeping tracker for the same.
- Experience with Building Management System operations.
- Experience in working in multi-disciplined Facilities Teams, influencing internal and external teams as required, to perform their own duties in achieving company goals.
- Have excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Have excellent communication and assertiveness skills.
- Proven experience working to deadlines.
- Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
- A strong work ethic, reliable, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and very customer service oriented.
- Ability to read floor plan drawings and interpret floor plans
- Ability to work autonomously to agreed schedules, while managing priorities entering the work flow for the team.
Additional Desired Experience and Qualifications
- Trade craft or other Building Fabric experience (eg Joinery, Roof Maintenance, Civils, etc)
- Previous Waste Management Experience
- Forklift Truck Experience
- Forklift Truck Licence current
Typical Working Conditions
- Must satisfy and maintain the required medical standard.
- Work is performed at the AAG Hangar in Shannon and possibly offsite providing support.
- PPE is provided by AAG and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.
- Must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements.
