Job Description

  • Lead Materials Coordination and Procurement Teams to meet service quality standards efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Manage the Materials Coordination team to provision and supply aircraft materials for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Manage the Procurement team to source and procure aircraft materials shortages per contractual obligations.
  • Guide the procurement team in managing stock levels to support various business units.
  • Supervise Commercial Purchasing activities and initiatives.
  • Supervise the procurement of tooling and ground support equipment, and the coordination of their maintenance requirements with approved suppliers.
  • Expand the supplier network and monitor supplier performance.
  • Review freight rates for air, courier, and land transport, seeking ways to reduce costs.
  • Periodically review team operating procedures to streamline and simplify them, enhancing overall efficiency, while tracking performance indicators and establishing new KPIs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and customers to improve service levels and operational performance, identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Management for the Company, its subsidiaries, associated companies, joint ventures, and development projects

Requirements

  • Higher Diploma or above in one of these fields:
    • Supply Chain Management, provided the applicant has a background in aircraft maintenance.
    • Relevant fields in Aeronautical Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance provided the applicant has a background in Supply Chain Management.
  • Extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, complemented by a thorough understanding of aircraft materials and supply chain management.

  • 10 years of solid working experience in logistics management / supply chain management, in the aviation industry.

  • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management principles, and aircraft maintenance operations.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset and good interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, leadership and management skills.

  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools.

  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of Part 145 quality standards and regulations.

  • Good spoken and written English.
